Target Audience
The most important question about any campaign would be who is your potential audience? The answer to this question would guide in your designing, placing and printing of the posters.
Quantity of posters to be printed
Another important question is how many posters are to be printed? The technology of printing these posters would depend on the answer to this question. If the number posters are not too large in number then digital printing could be used to print these posters economically in short runs. In case, the number of posters required is quite considerable, may be in thousands, then offset printing would save a lot of money in printing these posters.
Where to be displayed
If these posters are to be placed outdoors, then they should be printed on thicker paper with glossy finish to make these posters last longer facing the vagaries of weather. In case, they are to be displayed indoors only, then using thicker papers to print these posters would not be necessary.
Size of the poster
The budget of the advertising campaign would ultimately determine the size of posters to be printed. In case, the posters are meant for a small audience, then printing of large size posters could be indulged in even on a tight budget.
Another way of advertising is using digital signage. Digital advertisers allow large business organizations to make use of electronic screens for advertising using digital signage.
This kind of advertisement is first created as a part of a PowerPoint presented. Thereafter, using a digital software package, it can be shown on an LCD monitor, including large format, large plasma screen, projectors and multiple monitors. There are a large number of places where these advertisements could be displayed. They include shopping malls, airport, rail and bus stations, restaurants or on highways.
But, sometimes, these signages may be considered as a public safety hazard by local governments because the distraction these signages cause to the people driving cars on the highway.
